Kari M. Campos

Kari earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1991 and her Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1994.

Prior to rejoining Beard St. Clair Gaffney, Kari served as General Counsel for Kingston Companies, a real estate investment firm, where she played a key role in underwriting, negotiating, documenting, financing, and acquiring a $1 billion portfolio of a failed bank’s notes through a joint venture with the FDIC.

In August 2010, Kari joined Ball Ventures to lead its distressed debt acquisition efforts. During her tenure, she was deeply involved in corporate governance matters, complex real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and specialized in hospitality and automobile dealership acquisitions, operations, and dispositions. She also oversaw legal matters related to the acquisition and development of skilled nursing facility operations. Kari concluded her time at Ball Ventures serving as General Counsel.

Kari originally joined Beard St. Clair in 2000 and has returned to the firm as Of Counsel. Her practice focuses on complex business transactions, real estate acquisition, development and disposition, as well as trusts and estate planning.
