Winston V. Beard
Winston began practicing law in Idaho in 1967. Over the last 40 years, Winston developed a high level of expertise in business structuring and organization, antitrust issues, healthcare, employment law, and protecting trademarks and trade secrets.
Winston has served as vice president and general counsel for a national food company; as chairman of the board for a local financial institution; and as chairman of the Idaho State Bar Business and Corporate Section. He combines practical business advice and documents drafted in straight-forward business language with a thorough knowledge of business laws and aggressive negotiating and litigation strategies.
The business activities of his clients often cover the entire United States and some foreign commerce. Although a lawyer needs to reduce risk for a client, it is equally important for a lawyer to assist the client in taking advantage of opportunities. Winston looks for innovative ways to accomplish the goals of his clients. He believes the attorney must understand the financial parameters of any transaction so that enhancing client profitability becomes one of the primary benchmarks for measuring good legal work.
