Beard St. Clair regularly monitors new cases, regulations, and laws pertaining to the health care industry. Members of our business team are members of the National Health Law Association and the ABA Health Law Section. We maintain up to date library materials on health care law, regulations, OIG rulings, compliance planning, medical coding, fraud and abuse, antikickback rules, government manuals, and a variety of other materials.
We also advise clients on fraud and abuse and Stark II compliance issues and provide guidance in implementing and operating compliance programs. In the process of providing opinions, assisting in compliance, and defending against claims of false payment and fraud and abuse, we are in contact with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and the Seattle office of HCFA.
