Michael joined Beard St. Clair in 2009 and is a member of the business team. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Michael worked as a summer clerk both here at Beard St. Clair and Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins LLP in San Diego, California. While at Coughlin Stoia, Michael prepared documentation and conducted research for securities fraud class action litigation, including high-profile cases against Enron, Merrill Lynch, and AOL Time Warner. During law school, Michael worked as a research assistant for Professor Jorge A. Vargas of the University of San Diego School of Law where he translated various Spanish-language articles in preparation for publication in an American-Mexican law treatise. In working with Professor Vargas, Michael also researched and evaluated Mexican law in the areas of foreign investment, immigration, and family law to update an existing treatise. Michael will focus his practice in the areas of securities, antitrust, health care law, and taxation.
